Sony Ericsson K550i Cyber-Shot Mobile Phone
Sony Ericsson has introduced in india its new quad-band GSM/EDGE mobile phone, the Sony-Ericsson K550i Cyber-Shot phone which features 2.0-megapixel Cyber-Shot camera with auto-focus and LED flash, picture blogging, M2 memory card slot, an advanced music player, an FM radio with RDS, EDGE data support, and stereo Bluetooth connection.
The quad-band EDGE/GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) compatible Sony-Ericsson K550i Cyber-Shot mobile phone has a large 1.9-inch (176 x 220 pixels) QVGA TFT screen capable of displaying 262,144 colors and it sports 2.0 Megapixels Cyber-shot digital still camera having 1632 x 1224 pixels resolution with integrated xenon flash, 2.25x digital zoom and autofocus and image and video stabilizer feature. a five-way directional button on the front of the device controls most of the phone’s menus and features.
The K550i’s slim candybar form factor keeps things stylish and portable. Sony Ericsson K550i Cybershot comes with 64-MB internal memory and it sports Memory Stick Micro (M2) slot for easy memory expansion. The K550i mobile phone also supports a USB mass storage mode, allowing storage of important files like documents, images, and music files.
The Xenon flash in K550i Cyber-shot phone provides sharp and colourful pictures even in the dark with red-eye reduction included while the image stabilizer function compensates for the small hand movements that can make pictures blurred resulting in delivering stunning crisp images. In addition the camera lens has been protected by a cover which when slid open automatically switches the handset into camera mode.

The integrated digital camera in Sony Ericsson K550i phone is also capable of video recording in QCIF format with 176 x 144 pixels resolution using autofocus and image/video stabilizer features enhancing the captured video quality.
The Sony-Ericsson K550i supports MMS (Multimedia Message Service) for Multimedia text messaging allowing sounds, pictures, animations and formatted text in SMS message and its integrated image blog features allows sharing photos instantly by directly posting them onto any blog site.
The Sony-Ericsson K550i Cyber-Shot phone is equipped with advance MP3 media player which supports multiple music file formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+. In addition, the phone also sports an integrated RDS FM stereo radio tuner with 20 station memory.
Sony Ericsson K550i’s Cyber-Shot phone’s Bluetooth capability allows setting up a wireless link with a range of Bluetooth accessories or connect to a PC or hand-held device like PDAs for exchanging and synchronizing data between phone and PC. The Sony K550i phone also supports the SyncML PC synchronization standard which allows the phone to be used with the included Sony Ericsson Sync Station software, enabling synchronizing Microsoft Outlook calendar, contacts, notes and tasks with K550i phone.
The Sony-Ericsson K550i Cybershot phone is a powerful gaming companion also, with support for enhanced, Java-based 3D gaming. The phone comes preloaded with several games and more are downloadable from Sony Ericsson. In addition, the k550i also sports an airplane mode feature, which allows the user to safely use the non-wireless functions of a mobile phone - such as music, games, or organizer functions - on an airplane during flight keeing the phone function off.
