Acer Aspire 5571ANWXMi-DC Notebook PC
Acer has recently introduced in India the Acer Aspire 5571ANWXMi-DC Notebook PC which is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Core Duo Processor T2050 and it offers 8x DVD writer along with Integrated Wireless LAN connectivity.
Weighing about 2.4 kg (5.28 lbs.) the Acer Aspire 5571ANWXMi-DC notebook PC is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Core Duo Processor T2050 with 2 MB L2 cache, 1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB and it features Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset main board, 512 MB of DDR2 533/667 MHz system memory (upgradeable to 4 GB using two soDIMM modules), 120-GB Serial-ATA hard disk drive and 8X DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive DVD Writer.
With Linux preinstalled the Acer Aspire 5571ANWXMi-DC notebook also sports integrated 5-in-1 card reader which supports Secure Digital (SD), MultiMediaCard (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick PRO (MS PRO), xD-Picture Card (xD).
The Acer Aspire 5571ANWXMi-DC notebook PC is equipped with 14.1-inch (35.18 cm) WXGA Acer CrystalBrite TFT LCD display which offers maximum of 1280 x 800 pixel resolution using Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950 with up to 224 MB of shared system memory.
The Aspire 5571ANWXMi-DC notebook also features integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network connection offering dual-band tri-mode 802.11a/b/g wireless technology, integrated 10/100 mbps Ethernet LAN card for wired networking, integrated 56 kbps v.92 fax/modem and 1 x Type II PC Card slot, Intel High Definition audio with 2 built-in Acer 3DSonic stereo speakers and Built-in microphone.
A first time non-tache buyer would find it touch to upgrade the linux version for enhanced functionality. Windows XP (though costilier) would suit most of non-techie users to start with.
