Nokia E70 Smartphone
Nokia has announced in India its new Enterprise seriese smartphone, the Nokia E70 which runs on Symbian 9.1 and features a foldable full QWERTY keypad, 2.0 Megapixel camera, MP3 media player, Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G and Blackberry connectivity capability.
This 3G capable tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz compatible smartphone, Nokia E70 has 2-inch (35 x 41 mm wide) TFT color display capable of displaying 16 million colors with 352 x 416 pixels resolution and features foldable full QWERTY keypad and five-way scroll key.
Running on Symbian OS 9.1, the Nokia E70 sports almost every possible connectivity option available today which includes, Bluetooth v.1.2, Wireless LAN - 802.11g, 802.11e, Infrared port, HSCSD, EDGE Class 10, 236.8 kbps, 3G, 384 kbps and USB v2.0.
Nokia E70 supports large e-mail protocols including SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4 and offers BluetoothSynchronizing with the PC, SyncMLSyncML, and Instant MessagingInstant Messaging option. Nokia E70 measures 117 x 53 x 22 mm which makes it rather bulky to hold in hand.
New Nokia E70 also sports a high resolution 2.0 Megapixels digital camera with maximum resolution of 1600 x1200 pixels and capability of recording and playback of video(CIF) video. IN addition, the smartphone also includes a integrated media players which supports MP3/AAC/MPEG4 media files. The Nokia E70 also has an equalizer with few presets.
Unlike other compatible camera phones, the new Nokia E70 mobilephone is capable of capturing very good quality videos with CIF resolution (352 x 288 pixels) complimented by smooth digital zoom to render excellent quality videos.
Equipped with 75 megabytes of internal memory which is allocated between phone book, calendar, messages, images and applications the new Nokia E70 smartphone features expansion slot for mini-SD memory card (max 64 MB) with the hot-swap option.
The Nokia E70 smartphone also offers printer connection application which allows the phone connection with the printer via Wi-Fi, USB or Bluetooth connection for direct printer access. The USB connection require Nokia’s custom USB data cable as this phone does not have a standard USB port, just like most of the Sony-Erricsons phones.
Nokia E70 comes with 1150 mAh Li-Ion (BL-6C) battery which provides talk time from 3.6 to 7.3 hours and standby time from 7.2 to 9.3 days.
