Samsung Unveils CLP-300 Color Laser Printer
Samsung India has recently announced in India the launch of CLP-300 personal color laser printer which Samsung claims is so small in size that it can practically fit in a standard desk drawer.
Samsung claims that new CLP-300 has been designed for consumers who want the benefits of high-quality color laser printing but do not have the space for bulky machinery.
The Samsung CLP-300 color laser printer (and network ready CLP-300N) is smallest and lightest color laser printers in its class, weighing only 13.6 Kgs (30 pounds) and featuring a diminutive footprint of 15.4-inch width x 13.5-inch depth x 10.4-inch hight.
The Samsung CLP-300, the first personal color laser printer, is suited for a wide variety of customers including home users, small businesses, corporate executives and students who may currently use an inkjet printer for their everyday printing. With the CLP-300, customers can print their projects/presentations and other color-intensive documents quickly and affordably.
Ideally suited for a variety of consumers including home users, SOHO business, corporate executives and students currently using super economical inkjet printer for their everyday printing, the compact Samsung CLP-300 color laser printers also feature tiny toner bottles, instead of conventionally used larger unwieldy cartridges, allowing for a footprint small enough to fit on most any office desk. The same exclusive NO NOIS print engine used in the Samsung’s high end color laser printers provides the affordable CLP-300 series quiet operation and simple toner changes.
The new Samsung CLP-300 personal color laser printers offers print speeds of up to 17 ppm in black & white, and 4 ppm in color in A4 paper size. Sharp documents result from the 600 x 600 dpi optical resolution, which can be enhanced up to 2400 x 600 dpi and unit comes with 32-MB internal memory which can be expanded to maximum of 64-MB.
Offering a competitive 24,200 pages per month duty cycle, the Samsung CLP-300 printer also features 150-sheet multipurpose cassette tray which facilitates any hectic workflow and the printer unit comes with a high-speed USB v2.0 interface for fast and easy setup and connectivity. The new CLP-300 printer is compatible with most of current operating systems including Microsoft Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, 2003 Mac OS OS 10.3 - 10.4 Linux Red Hat 8.0-9.0, Fedora Core 1-3, Mandrake 9.2-10.1, and SuSE 8.2-9.2.
Samsung CLP-300’s easy drawer style toner and paper access means its super easy to replace supplies and handle paper jams. For example, if paper jams, the user can simply remove the paper at the front of the printer without the need to rotate the body. Also, the number of supply items is minimized for easy replacement and cost-efficiency.
