Samsung Launch NV10 Digital Camera
Samsung India has today announced the launch of a brand new digital camera in India, the Samsung NV10 that offers 10.1 megapixel CCD sensor and large LCD screen.
The new Samsung NV10 digital camera is equipped with a 10.1 megapixel CCD sensor, a Schneider Kreuznach 3x optical zoom and a bright 6.3 cm (2.5-inch) LCD screen and features an innovative touch pad Graphical User Interface (GUI), a sleek, brushed black aluminum body, compact design and 20-MB of internal memory plus support for SD/MMC memory expansion card.
The ‘Smart Touch’ user interface located on the back side of the camera, according to the company, is expected to provide users an experience unlike anything they have tried before by allows users to easily toggle through menu functions using a convenient touch pad located along the LCD on the back of the camera, instead of the traditional dial located at the top of the camera.
Measuring just 0.7-inches in thickness, the Samsung NV-10 digital camera includes a Schneider 3x optical zoom lens, a 5x digital zoom and a large, 2.5-inch color LCD display. In addition it is designed using Samsung�s state-of-the-art Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) technology which helps combat hand shakes while a unique ASR function provides enhanced image clarity by electronically compensating for excess hand shake.
R. Zutshi, Dy MD, Samsung India, said, “We are targeting a 400 percent growth in our digital still camera business this year.”
The Samsung NV10 digital camera is capable of video recording in VGA (640×480 pixels) at 30fps, for smoother video and a larger view of the movie on LCD and TV screens. The continuous video recording function in Samsung NV10 digital camera offers users to pause and resume video recording at any time, while the built-in movie editing function enables editing video files in-camera.

In addition, the Samsung NV10 also sports several special effects functions for creative control in-camera, such as Color Effect, Highlight, Photo Frame, Negative and Composite Shot. Color effects include B/W, sepia, blue, green and red.
