Nokia Unveils Nokia 5500 Sport Mobile Phone
Nokia recently announced the ‘Nokia 5500 Sport’ mobile phone, which has a large 265K color display and features 2.0 Megapixels digital camera, MP3 media player, integrated stereo FM radio and a unique 3D Accelerometer to monitor and display users’ sports performance.
Triband (GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz) enabled Nokia 5500 Sport phone is equipped with 262,144 colors, 208 x 208 pixels, TFT Display and it features an integrated 2.0 Megapixels digital camera with 1600×1200 pixels resolution, 4X digital zoom and built-in flash, capability of recording video in QCIF format, an integrated stereo FM radio, support for Polyphonic (64 channels) Ringtones and MP3 Ringtones.
The ’sports mode’ of Nokia 5500 Sport mobile phone reads the status of users’ workouts while the inbuit pedometer feature helps monitoring the distance walked or the calories burnt by users.
AMD Launch Next Generation Opteron Processor
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has today introduced a next generation AMD Opteron processor featuring the industry-leading performance-per-watt and outstanding virtualization capabilities.
To be available in India in the first week of September 2006, the new version of Opteron processors which is now known as Rev F, is one of the only x86 server processors that will upgrade to native quad-core within the same thermal design power envelope enabling customers to increase computing capacity in typical server farm environment without having to alter datacenter infrastructure.
In addition, the new dual-core Opteron processor chip, would comes with improved virtualization capabilities and upgraded integrated memory.
Nokia 2610 Entry Level Mobile Phone
Nokia has announced the availability of a new entry-level dualband GSM mobile phones, Nokia 2610 in India, featuring 65K color screen, a unique One-Touch internet access function and Polyphonic ringtones.
The Dualband GSM 900 / GSM 1800 MHz network ready Nokia 2610 mobile phone is equipped with color display supporting 65,336 colors with 128 x 128 pixels resolution and supports 24-channel polyphonic and MP3 ringtones.

Nokia N80 Smartphone Launched
Today in India, Nokia has announced their 3G high-class slide type smartphone, the Nokia N80, which is its first quad band handset designed to work both on 3G and four GSM bands.
Weighing about 134 grams, the new Nokia N80 is quadband WCDMA 1900 and GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 network ready and it features high resolution 256K colors, TFT with 352 x 416 pixels resolution, 35 x 41 mm size color screen.
Dual camera equipped Nokia N80 mobile phone handset incorporates a high resolution 3.0 Megapixel camera which has 2048 x 1536 pixels image resolution with mega 20X digital zoom and built-in flash. A secondary VGA resolution (640 x 480 pixels) camera is designed to conduct video chat/call under 3G network connection.
