Sony has introduced its CyberShot DSC-N1 smart digital camera in India featuring a 8.1 Megapixel CCD, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lenses, and a large 3.0 inch tactile LCD touch screen display.
Sony CyberShot DSC-N1 is powered by Super HAD (Hole Accumulation Diode)1/1.8-inch CCD sensor technology which delivers 8.3 Megapixel (3264 x 2448 pixels) image resolution and sports Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar lens construction with 3x optical zoom and 6x digital zoom. The Super HAD CCD allows a higher light level to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity, reducing noise, and utilizing more digital information in reproducing the subject.
Sony CyberShot DSC-N1 digital camera sports a large 3.0-inch tactile LCD screen (touch screen capable) and features a fully automated and hassle free point-and-shoot operations, PictBridge printer support and has built-in flash with Auto, Red-Eye reduction, Slow Sync modes.
Equipped with 26 MB internal memory for storage (can only holds six photos at maximum quality), the Sony CybserShot DSC-N1 digital camera supports Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick PRO Duo for expanded storage of upto 4-GB which by the way are more expensive than the SD memory cards of other cameras.
Touch Screen Display
The CyberShot DSC-N1 is Sony’s first digital camera with an enhanced Touch Screen LCD allowing touch of display to choose desired settings, including focus and exposure levels etc. And hybrid technology provides clear image reproduction in any lighting environment, eliminating the “wash out” effect in direct sunlight.
The enhanced Touch Screen LCD on Sony CyberShot DSC-N1 digital camera allows stamping information, trace letters or draw over the captured image on the image using a supplied stylus. The camera also save the information in VGA format without affecting the original photos for easy access later.
The Sony CyberShot DSC-N1 camera is also capable of capturing the video in MPEG1 compression format at VGA resolution of 640×480 pixels. The digital camera supports many different resolutions for video recording which includes; VX Fine in 640 x 480 pixels at 30 frames per second, VX Standard in 640×480 pixels at 16.6 frames per second and Video Mail in 160×112 pixels at 8.3 frames per seconds speed.
