ASUS CD-S520/A4 CD-ROM
ASUS CD-S520/A4 is a standard 5.25-inch 1/2H 52X CD-ROM optical drive, available in India, which featrues fast 80 ms access time and support CD-ROM, CD-R and CD-RW media.
The next-generation DDSS II (Double Dynamic Suspension System II) anti-vibration design used in the ASUS CD-S520/A4 ensures highly reliable performance to match the demands of high-end systems.
The Double Dynamic Suspension System II technology helps reducing operational vibration so that the optical drive’s pick-up head can access data with optimum stability and much enhanced accuracy.
The ASUS CD-S520/A4 optical drive offers rotation speeds of up to 10, 400rpm that read data up to 7800 KB/sec transfer rate and supports UltraDMA/33 transfer mode for minimal CPU utilization. The drive also features audio play and skip buttons on the front of the unit.
The ASUS CD-S520/A4 is able to support various CD-formats such as CD Extra, CD-DA (audio), CD-I, CD-ROM XA, Mixed-mode CD, Photo CD, Video CD, CD-ROM, CD+G (Karaoke CD) and I-Trax and it is equipped with ATA-33 – 40 PIN IDC interface with 2 PIN Digital Audio audio out, 4 PIN MPC audio out and a mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm headphone jack for various device connection.
Fully compatible with Windows 3.x/9x/NT/XP, OS/2, Netware, Linux and UNIX OS, the ASUS CD-S520/A4 CD-ROM optical drive has 128KB internal buffer and is under 1-kg in weight. The drive offers rotation speeds of up to 10400 rpm that read data up to 7800 KB/sec transfer rate and supports UltraDMA/33 transfer mode for minimal CPU utilization.
