HP has recently announced Compaq Presario V2624TU notebook PC in India which is powered by Intel Pentium-M 735A (1.7 GHz) and comes with standard CD-RW/DVD Combo optical drive.

Powered by Intel Pentium-M Processor 735A (1.7GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 400MHz FSB), the Compaq Presario V2624TU notebook PC is based on Intel 915GM chipset and it features 256-MB (1 x 256MB) DDR SDRAM (333MHz), 40-GB Ultra DMA (4200 rpm) hard drive and a CD-RW/DVD combo optical drive.

Compaq Presario V2624TU notebook sports 14-inch Widescreen WXGA TFT Display (maximum 1024 x 768 pixels resolution) with BrightView powered by Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (up to 64MB shared with 512MB system memory)

The Wi-Fi ready Compaq Presario V2624TU notebook PC is equipped with integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 for wireless connection while it sports 10/100 Ethernet LAN, 56 kbps V.90 modem and 3 USB 2.0 for wired connections.

Compaq Presario V2624TU also supports a 6-in-1 multi-format memory card reader embedded in the notebook allowing SD, MMC, SmartMedia, XD and MemorySticks and has Altec Lansing Stereo Speakers built-in.

Weighing about 2.4 kgs without battery, the Compaq Presario V2624TU notebook PC is light and quite portable at 88cm(H) x 23.11cm(W) x 33.40cm(D).
