Nokia 6101 Camera Flip Mobile Phone

nokia-6101-mobile-phoneNokia’s first camera flip phone with a clamshell design, Nokia 6101 is great combination of simplicity and style which features dual screen with a VGA-quality (640 x 480 pixels) digital camera with self-portrait and video capture and playback.

Weighs 97 gm and measures 85 x 45 x 24 mm, the Nokia 6101 mobile phone supports tri-band GSM networks (GSM 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900 frequencies) and has dual color display screens, a VGA camera for still and video recording, a FM radio and smart instant messaging software for easy text chatting.

The Nokia 6101 mobile phone has 760 mAh Li-Ion battery which which is supposed to guarantee the device 240 minutes of call duration and 350 hours of a stand-by time and has 3.5 MB internal shared memory for contacts, text messages, multimedia messages, ringing tones, images, video clips, calendar notes, to-do list, and applications.

Dual Color Display

Nokia 6101 mobile phone has two color displays - 128 x 160 pixel internal display with up to 65,536 colors and external mini display supporting up to 4,096 colors (96 x 65 pixels). The handset’s keypad is thoughtfully laid out, with a 5-way navigation key and a dedicated camera button.

VGA Camera

Tri-band ready Nokia 6101 mobile phone sports an integrated VGA camera (resolution 640 x 480 pixels) with dedicated camera button and self-portrait capability. The camera has three image-quality options: high, normal, basic but lack a flash. The camera also functions as a video recorder using the 3GP spec (H.263 video and AMR audio packed in .3gp format).

Nokia 6101 mobile phone’s external display also acts as a viewfinder allowing users take self-portraits, while the internal display allows shooting normal shots.

FM Sterio Radio

The 6101 mobile phone handset also has a voice recorder and a FM stereo radio built-in and the headset wire works as the FM antenna. There is no dedicated MP3 player as such but MP3 tracks can be used as ringtones.

Instant messaging & Chat

Nokia 6101 also features a smart instant messaging software that alerts user when friends are online. Push to talk feature of Nokia 6101 mobile phone lets users talk one-on-one or to a group with the touch of a button. Press the button once and everyone can hear you talk - release the button and hear others talking back to you.
