Compaq Presario M2512 AU With AMD Sempron 3000
Compaq recently launched Presario M2512 AU which is powered by AMD Mobile Sempron Processor Model 3000+ (1.8GHz) with PowerNow Technology and is targetted at small business users looking for a full-featured notebook with premium quality large 15-inch display and hassle free Wireless LAN and bluetooth connectivity.
The new Compaq Presario M2512 AU notebook PC With AMD SEMPRON 3000+ (1.8GHz) features 256 MB DDR RAM, a 40-GB ultra DMA fast hard drive and DVD-CDRW 24x cd writer DVD ROM combo optical drive.
Equipped with integrated ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M PCI Express graphic adapter (shared memory), the Compaq Presario M2512 AU notebook has 15-inch XGA TFT LCD display with BrightView Screen providing maximum 1024 x 768 resolution. With the BrightView technology display, spreadsheets, powerpoint and visuals look livelier with sharper contrast and clearer picture quality.
No OS, No Driver CD, No Manual
The AMD Sempron based Compaq Presario M2512AU supplied by HP in India does not include any operating system, not even the FreeDOS as listed on HP website. It comes with hard drive unformatted (and obviously without any drivers for any OS). There is no seperate driver CD shipped with the notebook either. All required drivers needs to be directly downloaded from HP website.
But the rudest thing a consumer might find, atleast thats what I felt with my delivery, on opening the delivery pack is that there is not even a working manual included with the system.
Weighing under 2.94 kgs, the Compaq Presario M2512 AU notebook PC also features integrated Integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG 802.11 b/g integrated WLAN, intergrated 10/100 ethernet adapter, 56-kbps V90 modem and bluetooth connectivity.
