Sahara NB7630-N7 Tablet PC

Sahara Computers introduced their Windows XP based slate-type Tablet PC, NB7630-N7 in the early 2006. The new NB7630-N7 tablet PC is powered by Intel Pentium M Dothan 1.7-GHz processor and a USB pluggable 8x dual layer DVD burner.

sahara-nb7630-n7The compact Wi-Fi enabled Sahara NB7630-N7 Tablet PC is equipped with a 12.1-inch TFT display that offers full 180 degree rotation ideally suited for presentation purposes, battery life of about four hours and weighs just about 2.5 Kg.

Powered by Intel Pentium M Dothan 1.7GHz processor, the Sahara NB7630-N7 Tablet PC sports 512 MB DDR RAM which can be further upgraded to 2GB and 12.1 inch TFT screen which gives maximum of 1024×768 resolution on its XGA screen. The NB7630-N7 Tablet PC has an 80 GB Ultra ATA 4200 hard drive and a DVD R/RW capable of writing at 8/4/8X speed.

Sahara NB7630-N7 Tablet PC comes with pre-programmed ‘application launch key pad’ which allows screen rotation, first menu function, W-LAN activation and deactivation function, presentation mode function, by simply touch of an appropriate key.

The NB7630-N7 Tablet PC has a uique touch-screen or digitizing tablet technology for applications launch and digital inking, allowing users operate the computer with a either a electronic stylus or digital pen devices instead of a keyboard, mouse or touch screen mouse pad.

The digitizer on the Sahara NB7630-N7 Tablet PC delivers pen-position input to the computer. The user, therefore, is able to rest their hand on the screen without affecting the image or mouse pointer; only the movement of the stylus affects the mouse pointer.

Other few unique feature includes its ability of handwriting recognition, on-screen-virtual-keyboard, and speech recognition. Shorthand-like entry methods, which enable pen-driven input at touch-typing speeds, are also available.

The NB7630-N7 tablet PC supports 4 USB 2.0 ports and one port each for sound/volume control, D-Sub VGA Port, S-Video TV out port, DC in Jack, Headphone Out Jack, Microphone Jack, compatible RJs for phone and LAN, and a Kensington Lock Hole. For wireless connectivity, NB7630-N7 has tri-mode Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth.
