The new 8700g has combination of sophisticated styling, excellent navigation, and high-powered applications make it the favorite tool for mobile communication across the globe.

Unlike the 8700c, the new 8700g does not have the flat gray paint job that looks like it missed the creative design department. Instead you get a stunning blue or black case with a metal trim and black keypad. Priced at about $299 it’s also a ideal ‘low-priced’ mobile communication device in the market today.

Like its cousin, the BlackBerry 8700c for Cingular, the BlackBerry 8700g offers users a next-gen device with a full QWERTY keyboard, and it comes with an Intel processor and EDGE speeds for faster performance. In addition to support for Bluetooth 2.0 and up to 10 corporate or personal e-mail accounts, the 8700g offers some extras that make it more consumer-friendly and easier to use right out of the box than the 8700c. Overall, the device delivers on all fronts: as a phone, an e-mail machine, and a handheld.

The full Qwerty keyboard is easy to get used to, although bigger thumbs may find hitting relatively small keys hard to hit every time. The raised buttons are easy to find, and we adapted quickly to pressing out messages with our thumbs. Thumb dial on the right of the device makes scrolling up and down documents pretty easy.
